Firstly, we will be discussing how to configure new DStv HD decoders for extra view using a Smart LNB. We all know DStv is a paid satellite service owned by multichoice. One of the apparent disadvantages of the new DStv HD decoder popularly known as the Zappa decoder is the removal of the RF-in port makes it difficult for DStv extra view configuration setup.

Requirement For DStv HD Decoder Extra View Setup
- Two DStv Zappa decoders (one as the primary and the other as secondary).
- DStv Smart LNB
- 60cm or 90cm dish
- Coaxial cable
New DStv HD Decoder Extra View Configuration
- Firstly, track DStv on 36E (using 1224H27500 or 11747H27500) and get a high signal strength. Here is step by step how to install DStv dish
- Next, replace the regular LNB with the smart LNB
- Connect one cable to uni-cable A and another to uni-cable C. As shown below
- Connect the A to the primary decoder and connect the C to the secondary decoder.



Now enter the following extra view configuration for both decoders during the installation wizard
